Research Day 2020 *POSTPONED*

As a health sciences institution, we want to do our part in containing the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the health, safety and well-being of our communities and all those working in healthcare.

With that in mind, and taking into consideration the pressure on our clinical colleagues, Research Day is postponed. We understand that this is a disappointment for everyone involved but it is the responsible course of action to take in light of the current situation. We are grateful for the work carried out by the Research Day Committee and the time that has been invested by students and staff to date in preparing presentations for Research Day.

We will monitor the situation closely with a view to rescheduling this celebration of RCSI research as soon as is practical.

About Research Day

The annual RCSI Research Day is an in-house event that gives RCSI scientists the opportunity to present their most recent research findings and showcase the innovative research being carried out at RCSI.

We encourage all RCSI early-stage investigators particularly Post-Doctoral Fellows, Post-Graduate and Undergraduate Scholars, as well as Academic Staff to actively participate in this important day by submitting abstracts and by attending the event.

John J Ryan Distinguished Guest Lecture

We are delighted to announce Prof Christof Koch as our keynote speaker.

Awards

Prizes will be awarded across a number of categories for best oral and poster presentations. In addition, acknowledging the centrality of our educational research programmes, the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences will award a poster prize for the best abstract and project in the broad category of Health Professions Education.
